What you get

A Snapshot is the lightest pass through our AI Visibility methodology, the same diagnostic that the Audit and Intelligence run at greater depth. You receive a short AI Visibility report for your domain — typically 4–6 pages, delivered as a PDF within 1–2 business days. The Snapshot is free, and no follow-up communication is sent unless you opt in to periodic informational emails on the request form.

Your Snapshot uses your actual domain, current AI engine data, and real prompts buyers are asking in your category. What is in it

Five elements are covered in every Snapshot:

  • AI Visibility score — a single number reflecting your domain’s current presence across the AI engines we track.
  • Mentions, citations, and cited pages — what AI engines say about your business and which pages they reference.
  • Distribution by engine — how visible you are on ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, Gemini, and AI Mode.
  • Top topics — the subject areas where you currently appear, and the gaps where you do not.
  • Sample prompts — 20 prompts/questions and their answers, specific to your business or industry (where they exist), each showing whether your domain appears (or doesn’t) in the AI engines’ answers.

Engine coverage

A Snapshot gives you a real but bounded look. The honest disclosure of what is covered and what is not is part of the point.

  • The Snapshot covers: ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, Gemini, and AI Mode.
  • The Snapshot does not cover: Claude, which has no continuous-search consumer surface to track at this tier, and Perplexity, which is covered in the deeper Audit and Intelligence services.

For complete cross-engine visibility, including Perplexity and manual Claude assessment, the Audit and Intelligence services go wider.

Why this is useful, and what it is not

Useful for:

  • Establishing a baseline. Most businesses have no idea where they stand on AI search. The Snapshot gives them a real human read of their domain — Paula reviews the data and personally writes the narrative findings.
  • Seeing prompt patterns, you cannot see manually. When you query an AI engine yourself, you only see the answer to your own query. The Snapshot shows real prompts buyers in your category are asking — both about you and about the category broadly — patterns that one-off manual queries cannot reveal.

Not useful for:

  • Implementing fixes. The Snapshot identifies; it does not prescribe.
  • In-depth competitive benchmarking. The Audit covers up to three competitors; Intelligence covers up to nine.
  • Tracking changes over time. Snapshots are point-in-time.  Intelligence includes a month of tracking before analysis starts.

A Snapshot shows where you stand today. Here is where the work leads:

A real result

When your content is a source, and your brand is mentioned in the answer, the engines consider you an authority on the topic.

PROMPT“Stat MRI”Google AI Overview
This was a national answer. Google named six imaging providers, from Connecticut, Texas, New Jersey, California, and Illinois. Greater Waterbury Imaging Center, the Connecticut provider, was mentioned five times, because its own content was one of the answer’s sources.

“The Importance of STAT and Emergency MRI Services at GWIC,” and the STAT MRI prioritization process, both pulled from GWIC’s own pages.Source: greaterwaterburyimagingcenter.org

This is the Story of Record, working. When a business publishes authoritative content, the AI engines read it, trust it, and repeat it.

What happens after you request one

There are four short steps. The fourth is the most important one.

  • You submit the form. Domain, email, an optional context note, and an opt-in checkbox if you want periodic informational emails.
  • We run the analysis within 1–2 business days. The underlying data comes from an AI visibility tool. Paula reviews it personally and writes the narrative findings — every Snapshot is a real human read, not an automated report.
  • You receive your Snapshot PDF by email.
  • That is it. No follow-up emails reach you unless you opted in for them on the form. If you want to discuss the findings, you can schedule a follow-up call separately — a link is included in the delivery email.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is this really free? What is the catch?

Yes, it is free. The Snapshot is how Telstar demonstrates the quality of its thinking through the deliverable itself — readers who find its results compelling sometimes engage Telstar for a paid Audit or deeper services in the weeks or months that follow. Most who read the Snapshot do nothing further, and that is fine. The free read is the read.

Will I get sales follow-up emails?

You will receive them only if you opt in on the request form. The opt-in checkbox is unchecked by default. If you leave it unchecked, your Snapshot is delivered by email, and contact ends. If you check it, you will receive periodic informational emails from Paula on AI Visibility topics, and you can always unsubscribe. The choice is entirely yours.

How accurate is the AI Visibility score?

The score reflects your domain’s current visibility across the four AI engines covered by the Snapshot, based on the AI visibility tool’s dataset. It is a real measurement, not an estimate — but it is a single number that summarizes a more nuanced picture. The narrative findings Paula writes provide the context that the score alone cannot. The score is a useful starting point; the discussion of what drives it is where the value lies.

What is the difference between a Snapshot and an Audit?

The Snapshot is free, covers four engines, runs on your domain only, with no competitive analysis, and produces a short PDF within 1–2 business days. The Audit is a paid one-month engagement that covers four engines, includes up to three competitors, and produces a nine-section deliverable with prioritized recommendations. The Snapshot establishes the baseline; the Audit acts on it.

What if my Snapshot results are concerning — what do I do?

You have options. You can review the findings, sit with them, and decide on your own timeline whether to act. You can schedule a no-cost conversation to discuss what you are seeing. Or you can request an Audit or Intelligence for a deeper, paid engagement that includes prioritized recommendations. Most concerning Snapshot findings reflect fixable patterns — but the right next step depends on your situation, and there is no urgency on our end.

About the Practice

Telstar Consulting is an independent AI Visibility practice based in Connecticut. It helps businesses show up accurately and often when buyers ask AI engines for recommendations, with SEO as the foundation. That matters because more buyers now begin inside AI engines than on search results pages, and a business the engines don’t name doesn’t make the shortlist.
